There are several advantages to hiring a professional financial planner. The only compensation that the professionals at Core Wealth Management receive are from our clients – all charges are completely transparent – thereby helping to ensure that our interests are aligned with yours.
Jackie Goldstick, Director of Financial Planning Services, is a member of NAPFA, the nation’s leading professional association of fee-only advisors. As such, Core Wealth Management does not receive commissions or referral fees of any kind. Compensation comes solely from our clients in the form of flat fees, hourly fees or as a percentage of assets under management. Additionally, the advisors at Core Wealth Management are all Certified Financial Planners (CFPs®), adhere to a strict code of ethics, meet extensive continuing education requirements and are committed to always act as fiduciaries.
Core Wealth Management, as a Registered Investment Advisor registered with the SEC, is a fiduciary. We are committed to always putting our clients’ interests above our own and providing the highest standard of care. Conflicts of interest are disclosed as soon as they are identified and costs are completely transparent. Our interests are aligned with those of our clients and we pride ourselves on always acting with complete integrity.
Both Todd Schanel, Principal and Director of Investment Advisory Services, and Jackie Goldstick, Director of Financial Planning Services, are Certified Financial Planners (CFPs®). Todd has been a CFP® since 2007 and Jackie has held her CFP® since 2001.
Available à la carte or blended for comprehensive wealth management, our core services include financial planning, investment management and 401(k) plan management. Tightly integrated accounting and tax-preparation services are available through our affiliated firm, Schanel & Associates. Specialized alliances are available as needed for additional needs such as real estate analysis, estate planning and more.

At Core Wealth Management, we have extensive experience preparing clients for retirement. This includes helping clients understand what retirement will actually look like, both from a financial and a non-financial perspective. By first identifying both concerns and overall objectives, we are able to create a realistic plan to meet a client’s goals while also being sure to take their risk parameters into consideration. Plans are implemented in a flexible and cost-efficient manner, with specific attention given to tax planning. Retirement plans are continually updated as objectives evolve and new circumstances present themselves.
When it comes to planning for retirement, you’ll want to make sure that all your bases are covered. The highly-trained and experienced financial planners at Core Wealth Management will help you determine and articulate your financial goals and priorities and then work with you to develop a comprehensive plan that encompasses investments, insurance, taxes and estate planning. No matter your unique financial needs and concerns, our professionals will make sure that all your questions are answered, and the right plan is set in place for a secure retirement.
We offer an initial consultation that is complimentary. It is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine if we would be a good fit for each other. At the conclusion of that meeting, once we have a better understanding of your situation and what your concerns are, we can then tell you how we think we can most cost-effectively and efficiently work together. You will understand what the costs will be upfront and you can then determine if you want to move forward and in what capacity.

Financial planning services are available on an hourly ($250/hour) basis or a project basis, which we can quote once we meet with you to better understand your project scope.

Investment management fees are based on a percentage of your portfolio size with a minimum annual fee. Currently, we charge an annual fee of 1% on the first $500,000 of investment assets, 0.50% on the next $2,000,000, and 0.25% for assets that exceed $2,500,000. Fees are calculated and paid quarterly in advance. Our annual minimum is $3,000 per year, although lower minimums are available for younger accumulators.

We are a fee-only firm. Our sole source of compensation is from our clients. This helps to promote confidence that our financial incentives are well aligned with our clients’ highest interests. We do not accept commissions, kickbacks, gifts, soft dollars, sales incentive trips or any other payments from third parties. Structuring ourselves as a Registered Investment Advisor firm further strengthens our relationship with you, obligating us to serve in a fiduciary capacity.
